Questions answered - Hnilcik is the former Maly Hnilec
Hello: I have a history of my family that lists member as living in the 1860's in a town called "Maly Hnilec" near the Hnilec River near the Slovak Paradise. I find the town Hnilec on a map near (south of) Slovensky Raj. Is this the same town with a shortened name?

Hi Joe, Maly Hnilec has apparently been renamed Hnilcik - you can find some info on the village in English at www.slovenskyraj.sk/obce/hnilcik/hnilcik.html. The official website (only Slovak) is at www.hnilcik.ocu.sk/.
